We are serving sustainable award-winning tacos, voicing the Rights of Mother Earth, with the goal to help the impoverished in our community heal and grow through education and cooperation. The inspiration for this work came from attending the World People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth on April 22, 2011 in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where we met his excellency, President Mr. Juan Evo Morales Aima.
Imagine a fleet of food trucks carrying sound sustainable ideas designed to empower the at risk members of our communities while providing nourishing and tasty meals in a cooperative and sustainable fashion; this is an ideal made real – where the demands of people and money come together for the good. It is an investment in the community that contributes beyond the myopic financial returns of short term profits, for the gain of an inclusive, sustainable, robust local economy while providing authentic, delicious Mexican dishes in B.C.
Mending Our Communities with Earth Culture
Currently, we are promoting our pay it forward program with local community partners, while working with local farmers, in a four-part program geared towards sustainable development.
Sharing Knowledge and Wealth: We are hiring locally with a focus on marginalized community members to enhance their access to education in the economic, environmental, investment-oriented, and community-driven aspects of the enterprise – allowing very real opportunities to grow personally and professionally with the goal for them to becoming independent.
Ecologically-Friendly: We are using local and fair-trade farmers’ goods to prepare our delicious products and to bring together people and communities – mutually supporting one another whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
Community Partnership: We intend to foster growth as members of our venture go on to create partnerships and networks, creating a larger economic footprint. This economic growth transforms a previously noncontributing group to one that is socially desirable.
Promoting Development and Responsibility of the Self and Community: We are working to eradicate what many have called the “poverty of the mind”. Each individual will help support the whole through the conscious realization that working together, even from afar, in a sustainable fashion, can truly help to facilitate change for the greater good. By nourishing the mind, as well as the body in each individual; it will eventually raise the overall wellness of a community. Our goal is to inspire collective consciousness with the importance and benefits of eating locally produced food while promoting UN endorsed Mother Earth Natural Rights – then and only then, will we truly mend our community spirit.
